Yawr exists for genuine conversation — company, a friendly voice, someone to talk to. It is not a dating app, a matchmaking service, or a place to arrange in-person meetings, and it is not a platform for sexual or explicit content of any kind. These guidelines explain what that means in practice.
Every Listener completes voice and identity verification before appearing on the platform. Any user can report another user, a specific call, or a voice story directly in the app. Reports go to our moderation team, who review the report and the content it concerns — including listening to a reported recording — before deciding. Suspension is a human decision made on what a report actually contains, not an automatic consequence of a report count, so that a user cannot be removed by people simply reporting them repeatedly. Accounts found in clear violation are suspended or permanently banned, and child-safety reports are reviewed ahead of everything else.
Yawr is an adults-only service and we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Nobody under 18 may use Yawr. Our full Child Safety Standards set out what is prohibited, how to report a concern, what we do with a report, and who our designated child safety contact is.
