Delete Your Account

You can delete your Yawr account yourself at any time, right inside the app.

Delete from the app

1. Open Yawr and sign in with the phone number on your account.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Under Account, tap Delete account.
4. Tap Delete forever to confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately and signs you out on every device. If you're on a call, end it first — that's the only thing that will stop the request.

If you have a withdrawal in progress, your account still closes right away: you disappear from the app, your voice story is removed, and nobody can find or call you. Erasing your personal details finishes automatically once that withdrawal is paid or rejected. We hold your phone number until then for one reason only — it is the sole way we can reach you if the transfer to your UPI ID fails. If the withdrawal is still unresolved after 30 days, we erase your details anyway; the payment record keeps its own amount and UPI ID, so you can still be paid. You cannot sign back in during this period.

Can't open the app?

Email us from any address and include the phone number registered on your account. To confirm it's you, we'll get in touch through that number before we delete anything. We complete verified requests within 7 days.

What is deleted

• Your phone number, name, gender, matching preference, date of birth, languages and interests
• Your voice story
• Your voice verification recordings and their transcripts
• Your saved UPI ID and the push notification tokens for your devices

What is kept, and why

• Wallet, payment, call billing and withdrawal records. We keep these without your name or phone number, for as long as Indian tax and financial record-keeping laws require.
• Reports and moderation decisions. We keep these to prevent abuse and to handle appeals.

Any credits or earnings left in your wallet are lost when you delete your account. Withdraw your earnings first. Deletion can't be undone, but you can sign up again later with the same phone number as a new account.
